Access & Alarm Authorization

Permission to enter

By providing access instructions, door codes, alarm codes, or a key, you authorize The Happy Home Company's assigned specialist(s) to enter your home to perform the scheduled services during your arrival window.

Occupied vs. vacant homes

Our specialists normally service vacant homes. For the safety of our team and your household, we will not enter or remain in an occupied home unless a responsible adult (18 years or older) is present for the duration of the visit.

If our specialist arrives and the home is occupied without an adult (18+) present, we cannot begin the visit. We will attempt to reach you; if we cannot proceed, the visit is treated as a same-day no-access under the Cancellation Policy.

Codes & keys

Access codes and alarm details are encrypted and only revealed to the assigned specialist on the day of your visit; every access is logged. You are responsible for providing accurate, current access information and for notifying us promptly of any changes.

Alarm systems & false-alarm fees

If you provide alarm details, you authorize us to arm/disarm the system per your instructions. You agree to hold The Happy Home Company harmless for alarm activations, monitoring-company dispatch, or municipal false-alarm fees, except where caused by our failure to follow your written instructions.

Securing the home

Our specialists will re-lock and re-arm the home on departure per your instructions. Please ensure we have complete lock-up instructions.
