Some businesses are started because someone sees a gap in the market.
The Happy Home Company was started because I saw a gap in my own home.
Over the last several years, I noticed something about myself that I couldn't ignore. As life became busier and my responsibilities grew, so did my need for calm. I realized that when my home felt cluttered or out of order, my mind did too. I was more anxious, less patient, less creative, and constantly carrying the weight of unfinished chores.
For me, a clear space truly became a clear mind.
This realization came later in life, after 50. My children were grown, but I was still running businesses, managing teams, serving clients, and constantly thinking about what needed to happen next.
Through my work in hospitality and short-term rentals, I spent years creating beautiful spaces for other people. I would walk through vacation homes making sure the towels were perfectly folded, the pillows were fluffed, the counters were sparkling, everything was in its place, and guests walked through the door feeling instantly relaxed.
Then I would come home and think, I want to feel that way in my own home.
So I searched for help.
Like many families, I found traditional cleaning services that could provide an incredible deep clean, but often at $400–$500 a visit. The house looked amazing… for a day.
Then life happened.
Breakfast dishes. Laundry. Shoes by the door. Mail on the counter. Blankets on the couch. Toys when the grandkids visited.
And the cycle started all over again.
That's when it hit me.
What people like me don't always need is another expensive deep cleaning. Sometimes, we simply need someone to reset the home.
Someone to come in for an hour while you're at work, picking up the kids, running errands, or simply living your life.
Someone to make the beds, unload the dishwasher, wipe the counters, refresh the bathrooms, straighten the shoes, fold the blankets, fluff the pillows, tidy the toys, and put the little things back where they belong.
So when you walk through your front door, instead of immediately seeing everything you need to do… you can exhale.
Because everyone deserves to come home to peace.
After spending years inside hundreds of homes through my work in hospitality, I also realized how many people are carrying the same invisible weight. Busy professionals. Working parents. Single parents. Entrepreneurs. Couples juggling careers and family. People caring for children, grandchildren, or aging parents.
The home often becomes the last thing anyone has time for, even though it's the very place we're supposed to go to recharge.
The place meant to restore us can sometimes become another source of stress.
I wanted to change that. So I created The Happy Home Company.
Not a traditional cleaning company. A Home Reset Company.
Our Happy Home Specialists help restore order to the everyday spaces that make a home feel peaceful again. It's about more than wiping a counter or making a bed. It's about reducing the mental load and creating that wonderful feeling of walking into a home that feels cared for.
I believe coming home should feel a little like checking into your favorite boutique hotel. Peaceful. Welcoming. Fresh. Put together. Like someone cared.
Most importantly, it should feel like home.
